Stockholm is one of the wonderful cities in Sweden. Take a break from walking the winding, narrow alleys and have a meal or a snack in one of the many cellars. If shopping is what you are after, head to Klarabergsgatan, home to many top designers as well as department stores and some smaller shops. Walk into the Kungsträdgården, a delightful 17th century park and pass by the Sophia Albertina Palace, now home to the Foreign Ministry.

Stockholm is a city of many beautiful faces and each area of town is distinctive. T-Centralen, for example, is a typical downtown area with traffic jams and bustling crowds. This is the part known as the City or Norrmalm. From here you can choose to walk alongside the water to Djugarden, a lovely island ideal for walks and picnics, and visit Skansen or Grona Lund.
